168001 1G26 XNJ 17/04/11
The first DMUs built following privatisation of BR in 1997 were the class 168s for Chiltern Railways and here is pioneer 168001. The design was based on the class 165/166 'Turbo' and the early class 168/0s have a similar 'Networker' cab design, modified on later batches and for the class 170-172s. New as a 3-car in 1998, but now lengthened to four coaches, the set passes Neasden South Junction on 17th April 2011 forming the 1G26 1120 London Marylebone – Birmingham Snow Hill.
